Kirk Humphreys oversees all aspects of Humphreys Capital and chairs the Investment Committee. He brings 42 years of real estate acquisition, ownership, and disposition experience.
Kirk is a director of OGE Energy Corp. and a member of the Board of Regents of The University of Oklahoma, among other boards.
From 1972 to 1989, Kirk and his brothers, Kent Humphreys and Craig Humphreys, owned and operated Jack’s Service Company, a national distribution business. After selling his interest in the company, Kirk focused his efforts on real estate investing. Kirk was twice elected Mayor of the City of Oklahoma City, serving from 1998 through 2003. His political experience and relationships position him to continue serving as co-host of Flash Point, a weekly televised commentary and debate on issues of local and national interest.
Kirk earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Oklahoma in 1972.
He and his wife, Danna, have been married for 45 years and have 3 children and 14 grandchildren. They live in Oklahoma City and Carlton Landing, Oklahoma.
Blair Humphreys is Executive Vice President of Humphreys Capital and serves on the Investment Committee. He brings 13 years of experience in real estate investing and development.
Blair is the developer of the Wheeler District, an infill urban neighborhood on the Oklahoma River near downtown Oklahoma City. He is also the founder and past chair of the Oklahoma District Council of the Urban Land Institute.
Prior to initiating the Wheeler District development, Blair served as the Executive Director of the Institute for Quality Communities at The University of Oklahoma.
Blair earned a Master of City Planning and Urban Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from The University of Oklahoma in 2005.
He and his wife, Maggie, have four children and live in Oklahoma City.
Grant Humphreys is a Principal of Humphreys Capital and serves on the Investment Committee. He brings 22 years of real estate experience.
Grant worked for Trammell Crow Company in Dallas and Oklahoma City. In 2000, he formed a company which owned the largest self-storage portfolio in the state. In 2006, he developed “Block 42”, a luxury condo project in downtown Oklahoma City. Since 2008, Grant has worked to develop Carlton Landing, a 1,900-acre resort community on Lake Eufaula.
As Town Founder of Carlton Landing, Grant directs the long-term strategy for land development and home building. Key initiatives include forming a new water district, forming a new municipality, creating a TIF District, and leasing 420 acres from the Corps of Engineers. Grant oversees sales, resort services, event programming, and culture building activity. He and his wife, Jen, founded Carlton Landing Academy, the first rural charter school in Oklahoma.
Grant earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate from Baylor University in 1998.
Grant and Jen have 5 children and live in Carlton Landing, Oklahoma.
Todd Glass is Managing Director of Investments of Humphreys Capital. In this role, he carries out investment activities, including sourcing, underwriting, and recommending investments and dispositions to the Investment Committee.
Todd currently serves as the chair of the Oklahoma District Council of the Urban Land Institute and on the Small-Scale Development Council for ULI.
Todd’s 16 years of experience have uniquely equipped him to be a real estate investor. After law school, Todd began his career in commercial real estate brokerage at Price Edwards & Company, and later he became the Assistant Vice President at MidFirst Bank. Todd then served as Director of Real Estate for Devon Energy where he managed over 2 million square feet of real estate and assisted in the development of Devon’s one million square-foot headquarters building in Oklahoma City. He then served as Associate Portfolio Manager at Covenant Global Investors before joining Humphreys Capital in 2013.
Todd earned a Juris Doctor from The University of Oklahoma in 2002 and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Oklahoma in 1999.
He and his wife, Kelli, have three children and live in Oklahoma City.
Chris Reeves is a Director of Investments of Humphreys Capital. In this role, he carries out investment activities including sourcing, underwriting, and recommending investments and dispositions to the Investment Committee.
Chris began his 14 years of experience with MidFirst Bank, where, as a Vice President, he was personally responsible for a $500 million commercial real estate loan portfolio backed by a diverse set of properties across multiple markets. He focused on real estate financing, including project finance, investment funds, and REITs. Chris later served as a member of the executive management team of EnerQuest Oil & Gas, LLC. In his role as Vice President of Finance, he oversaw company financials, business development, leasing, contract negotiation, and surface and land activities. Chris joined Humphreys Capital in 2016.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Oklahoma in 2001.
He and his wife, Melanie, have two children and live in Oklahoma City.
Ben Stewart is Managing Director of Investor Relations of Humphreys Capital. In this role, he communicates fund strategy and performance, coordinates fund offering materials and investor correspondence, and reports to the Investment Committee.
Ben serves on the board of directors of Reaching Souls International, an Oklahoma City-based Christian mission organization and on the advisory board of the Professional MBA program at The University of Oklahoma.
Ben began his 19 years of experience by directing the investment processes of The Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma Foundation, managing $1.5 billion in /assets at the time of his departure. At the University of Oklahoma Foundation Ben formed its first investment team, constructed and established the investment process, and built its portfolio into a top-decile ranked endowment. He coordinated the investment activities of the Foundations’ portfolios including recommending asset allocation and manager selection. He oversaw due diligence and monitoring processes on the Foundations’ external investment managers, including multiple private limited partnerships in real estate, private equity, venture capital, and energy. Ben joined Humphreys Capital in 2015.
Ben received a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Oklahoma in 2002 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1999.
He and his wife, Jeannie, have three children and reside in Newcastle, Oklahoma. He also serves as an elder, teacher, and youth basketball coach at his church.
Karen Allen is Chief Financial Officer of the Humphreys Capital.
Karen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.
For more than 30 years, Karen was associated with Peters & Chandler, P.C. certified public accountants in Oklahoma City, where she served as a senior partner for many years. She is a past president and director of the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council, past chair of the OSCPA Tax Committee, and she has served on numerous sub-committees on legislative tax reform. In addition to her vast experience, Karen has a longstanding working relationship with the Humphreys team. As a senior tax partner at Peters & Chandler, P.C., she processed tax returns and long-term tax planning for Humphreys Company and all of its partnerships for more than 20 years, and she has prepared the tax returns for Humphreys Capital since inception.
Karen received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma.
She and her husband, Robert, have two grown children and live in Edmond, Oklahoma.
